Part of my "do something new and different" attempts, aha.
I had another unused hardbound sketchbook I'd gotten a while ago on clearance at a craft store and never used, and randomly decided to have a look at it, to see how the paper was. I'm going to be filling it, oh yes. It's a very niceee book.
This was very random. I just sat down and slapped it onto the page, right out of my head. It felt so very good! There's something about hardbound sketchbooks that just free my mind and creativity. Its like a diary for art, and I love it.
A lot of this was actually Subeta inspired. At least the corsette, wings, collar, and arm sleeves, lol. Subeta is one of the few things that relaxes me, hee.
Anyway, I went another step with trying new things, and cracked open my new Staedtler colored pencils, the ergosoft variety, and used them soley. It was very fun! I'm not used to using just colored pencils with no marker base, or using just one brand. I'm also not used to the softer leads, since I grind into the paper so much, lol.
So all around this was something new and fun, and I really enjoyed it. As for the title, its a part of Lewis Carroll's Jabber Wocky poem. Like my All Mad Here piece, its a blonde take on another Wonderland character, this time the Cheshire Cat. XD
OMGTHECOLORS~~~ Boo needs to make rainbow like art more often, mmhm yes. <333 Anyhoo I love this!! The girleh cheshire is so cute~ And I want that skull clippy she has in her hair!
I like this one, lovely colors, so bright ^w^ Her expression is great, looks very mischivious, fitting for a character based off of the chesire cat. Nice hair too, I'm not all that great at getting a curly effect but you pulled it off nicely. The backgrounds nice too, i think it completes the picture.
What's 'subeta'??
Anyway, lovely job at experimenting with solely one media and brand. ^^6 I have the ergosofts too but mostly use them for blending.
I love your take on the Alice characters.
I still say you do a Joker. xP
